Natalia Humeniuk, Head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of the South of Ukraine, said that certain Russian forces buildup is spotted in the southern direction, but "it is still difficult to call them military."

"A certain buildup is spotted, although it is still difficult to call them military because mainly the so-called mobilization resource which is poorly dressed, poorly equipped, poorly armed is redeployed. This is a commonplace practice, already used during the occupation of the right bank [of the Dnipro River]. This scheme still works," Humeniuk said on the air of the nationwide telethon when asked if there is Russian troops buildup in the southern direction.

According to her, "the fire control that the defense forces have over the logistical routes of this direction does not allow them [Russians] to fully mobilize powerful resources, reserves, and units."

"That is why they are trying to push through such small groups of mobilization resources to at least have a certain defense in form of a human shield," Humeniuk noted.

As reported, Yevhen Yerin, Head of the Joint Press Center of the Defense Forces of Tavria direction, stated that the Ukrainian military currently does not observe any large-scale offensive operation or preparations for it by the Russians in Tavria direction.
