Russians fired 2177 times in Donetsk region over 24 hours

Over the past day, 17 June, the Russian army fired 2177 times at Donetsk region, with hits recorded in nine settlements, damaging 13 civilian objects.

This was reported by the police of Donetsk region, Ukrinform reports.

"Russian troops shelled 9 settlements in Donetsk region... During the day, the police recorded 2177 enemy attacks. The Russians used air bombs and artillery to strike the residential sector... 13 civilian objects were destroyed - 11 residential buildings, a shop and a warehouse," the report said.

It is noted that the enemy attacked the towns of Zalizne, Chasiv Yar, the village of New York, the villages of Vovchenko, Vodiane Druhe, Zvanivka, Zoria, Katerynivka, and Myroliubivka.

In particular, in Zvanivka, Russians killed a civilian and damaged four private houses with an air strike.

According to law enforcement officials, a resident of Chasiv Yar was wounded by artillery fire and a private house was damaged. Three houses were also damaged in Zoria and three in Katerynivka.

The police and the Security Service of Ukraine opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As reported, Russian troops killed one resident of Donetsk region over the past day, 17 June, and wounded another person.
