Enemy shells Donetsk region 2,107 times in past day, destruction reported

Over the past day, June 19, the Russian army fired 2,107 times at the Donetsk region, with hits recorded in 16 settlements and damage caused to 57 civilian objects.

According to Ukrinform, this was reported by the Donetsk region police.

“The enemy attacked 16 settlements in Donetsk region... Throughout the day, the police recorded 2,107 attacks by the Russian Federation. The towns of Zalizne, Krasnohorivka, Kurakhove, Selydove, Toretsk, Chasiv Yar, Zarichne, Kurakhivka, New York, Pivnichne, Rayhorodok, Shevchenko, Dachne, Druzhba, Ostrovske, and Rozkishne villages came under fire," the statement said.

Damage was caused to fifty-seven civilian objects, including 44 residential buildings, an outpatient clinic, a paramedic station, a service station, an educational institution, a cultural institution, vehicles, and communications.

In particular, the occupiers shelled Rozkishne with Tornado-S MLRS, killing a civilian and damaging 12 private houses.

In Toretsk, one civilian was killed by shelling and a private and an apartment building were damaged.

Pivnichne withstood five attacks. Russia shelled it with two KAB-250 bombs and artillery, injuring one civilian and damaging two apartment buildings and five private houses.

Russian troops carried out an air strike on Zalizne with one KAB-250 bomb, leaving one civilian wounded and damaging 16 private houses and an infrastructure facility.

According to law enforcers, one person was injured in Chasiv Yar and one in New York.

In addition, on Thursday morning, Russians attacked Mykolaivka, but without causing any casualties.

The police and the SBU opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

As reported, the Russian army killed two civilians and injured four others in the Donetsk region on June 19.
