Russian army launched more than 2,000 attacks on Donetsk region in past day

The Russian aggressor launched 2,107 strikes on 13 settlements in the Donetsk region, employing a variety of weaponry.

This was reported by the Main Department of the National Police in the Donetsk region, according to Ukrinform.

"The enemy launched 2,107 strikes on the region. The Russian army used aerial bombs, missiles, drones, MLRS and artillery," the statement said.

According to the police, 13 settlements of the region came under attacks: the towns of Zalizne, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Mykolaivka, Toretsk, the villages of Hostre, Pivnichne, Shcherbynivka, Maksymilianivka, Mykolaivka, Rozkishne, and Serhiivka.

The shelling damaged 40 civilian objects, including 26 residential buildings, critical infrastructure, and cars.

The aggressor struck Mykolaivka five times, using UMPB D-30SN bombs, one Kh-59 missile, and two attack drones. As a result, one civilian was killed and three were injured. An infrastructure facility was damaged.

The invaders dropped a KAB-500 bomb on Kostyantynivka, killing a civilian and injuring another. Four private houses were damaged.

The enemy shelled Rozkishne village with Smerch MLRS, killing three residents and wounding four others, including a child born in 2009. Four private houses, two cars and a gas pipeline were destroyed.

Three more people were injured in Maksymilianivka, Pivnichne and the village of Mykolaivka as a result of enemy strikes.

Toretsk is under constant shelling. The enemy damaged four apartment buildings and four private houses.

The police and the SBU opened criminal proceedings under Article 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The police noted that 81 more people, including 13 children, were evacuated. In total, 170,412 people, including 20,276 children and 7,086 people with disabilities, have been evacuated from the dangerous region since the start of the mandatory evacuation.
