War update: Pokrovsk axis remains hottest amid 75 clashes along frontlines since day-start

A total of 75 combat engagements were recorded between Ukraine’s Armed Forces and Russian invasion troops on Tuesday, with the situation remaining most tense in the Pokrovsk axis.

That’s according to the General Staff of Ukraine’s Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.

"Since the beginning of the day, Russian invaders have been most active in the Pokrovsk axis. The total number of combat clashes along the entire front line increased to 75. At the same time, highly intense Russian offensive efforts are being observed in the Lyman and Kramatorsk axes, as well as in that of Toretsk. Ukraine’s Defense Forces deliver a tough rebuff to enemy assault and offensive moves, destroying their equipment and infantry,” the report reads.

Settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv regions located close to the border remain under constant fire from Russian territory. Thus, from the areas of Komsomolskoye and Sukhinivka, the enemy opened fire at Pavlivka, and from Staroselye, the invaders fired on Popivka.

Kharkiv region is under continuous attacks by the Russian air force. From the side of Belgorod (Russia), the invaders bombed Lyptsi using six gliding bombs. Another two of such bombs targeted Vovchanski Khutory, while Kharkiv and Ternova saw one gliding bomb each hit on Tuesday.

Fighting continues near Vovchansk. Currently, Ukraine repelled one out of the four Russian assaults launched today.

Kupiansk axis: Russian troops, with air support, attempted six times to dislodge Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka and Pishchane.

In Stelmakhivka, the Russians inflicted fire damage using 12 NARs. Four attempts by the invaders to advance were repelled while two skirmishes are ongoing. The situation is under Ukraine’s control.

Lyman axis: eleven times today, the Russian army attacked units of Ukraine’s Defense Forces near Kopanka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Nevske, and the Serebrianske Forest.

The Ukrainian forces held back seven assaults, and four clashes continue. Makiivka was hit by four NARs.

Siversk axis: Russian troops are active in the areas of Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne, and Vyimka. Five Russian attacks were repelled, and another two are ongoing.

Kramatorsk axis: Russian invaders do not stop trying to wedge themselves into the Ukrainian defense lines. Ukraine has already repelled six assaults in the area while two clashes are underway in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Ivanivske.

As the General Staff emphasized, Russian troops maintain the pace of offensive operations also in the direction of Horlivka-Toretsk. The defense forces are holding back Russian assaults, having repelled four attacks while two more are in progress.

Pokrovsk axis: Russian troops attacked the positions of Ukrainian soldiers 26 times near Novo-oleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Yevhenivka, Sokil, Novoselivka Persha, and Yasnobrodivka. As of now, Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 24 attacks, and two more are in progress.

Vremivka axis:  two of the four Russian assaults near Kostiantynivka and Urozhaine saw no gains.

Orikhiv axis: the invaders twice attacked the positions of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in the areas of ​​Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka. One assault was repelled and another one is ongoing.

In the rest of the axes, the situation has not changed significantly.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, a total of 170 combat clashes took place on the front during the past day.
