Poland and UNDP to assist startups for settlers in Ukraine

“We are ready to further assist Ukraine in this difficult time and are grateful to the government of Poland for significant financial aid. As of today, the UNDP is realizing a comprehensive program to resume and establish peace. A crucial component of the Program is aimed at broadening employment assistance to the forced settlers,” UNPD Country Director Janthomas Hiemstra said during the ceremony of the document signing.

According to Poland’s Deputy Foreign Minister Conrad Pavlik, the project will be one of the major in the sphere of rendering assistance to internally displaced persons.

“The project, which the government of Poland will implement together with the UN Development Program in Ukraine, will become one of the key components of our support. In the sphere of rendering assistance to internally displaced persons, we believe that one of the tasks is to establish relation between humanitarian aid and assisting in development,” Pavlik said.
