Russia not interested in establishing peace in Donbas – Poroshenko

Russia and Russian-backed militants are not interested in establishing peace in Donbas, eastern Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin on Monday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“Russia and militants are not interested in establishing peace and stability in Donbas. For Russia, the conflict in Donbas is a tool to continue destabilization in Ukraine,” Poroshenko said.
At the same time, the President stated that Ukraine strictly observes the Minsk agreements that remain the only principles to solve the conflict.
