Dutch Defence Minister Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert urges to prevent escalation of the conflict between Ukraine and Russia in connection with recent events in Crimea, noting that Russia often adds oil to the flame by its accusations.
She said this in an interview with Dutch journalists, NOS media outlet reports.
"This situation is difficult to be verified. What we see is that Russia often adds oil to the flame by its accusations. Now it is important to keep calm and avoid further escalation," Hennis-Plasschaert said.
According to her, the international community should make every effort to do this.
