Security agreement and communiqué of Peace Summit: Zelensky talks to Duda

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed with President of Poland Andrzej Duda the work on joining the final communiqué of the Peace Summit with other countries.

Zelensky announced this in his Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"I had a telephone conversation with Polish President Andrzej Duda. I thanked him for his active support of the Peace Summit. We discussed its results and agreed to continue working with other countries to join the final communiqué," the statement reads.

Also, as the head of state added, the conversation touched upon regional security challenges and the preparation of a bilateral security agreement within the framework of the G7 declaration.

As Ukrinform reported, the Peace Summit was held on 15-16 June in the Swiss resort of Burgenstock. It discussed nuclear security, food security and the humanitarian dimension - the exchange of prisoners and the return of abducted Ukrainian children.

The final document was signed by 80 states and 4 organisations. Three countries later withdrew their signatures. Nine members of the Security Council were among the signatories: The United States, the United Kingdom, France, Switzerland, Ecuador, Japan, Malta, South Korea, and Slovenia.

The communiqué remains open for accession.

The results of the Peace Summit will be presented by representatives of the Russian Federation.
