Ukraine's successful experience in the destruction of a significant part of the Russian Black Sea Fleet through the effective use of naval drones and other technologies is the subject of study by NATO countries in the context of the development of modern tactics of combat operations at sea.

Deputy Commander of the Joint Force Command Norfolk Rear Admiral Tim Henry said this in a comment to Ukrinform.

"We're looking beyond the now, taking the lessons of the now, the realities of today, and where technology may take us in the next three, five, ten years," the admiral said, when asked whether the NATO countries are studying Ukraine's combat experience in the Black Sea and how it can affect the future tactics of military operations at sea in general.

Henry said that NATO pays close attention to best practices in all regions where armed conflict takes place at sea. This includes the tactics of Ukrainian defenders in the Black Sea, the situation in the Red Sea, and developments in the Gulf of Aden.

The admiral also noted that the success of NATO lies in the fact that the military alliance is able to observe the development of events and adapt well to changes.
