Zelensky: In coming months, Putin to try to advance on several axes

The head of state stated this at a virtual press conference Tuesday evening, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Putin wants to take several offensive actions. As we said, in Zaporizhzhia, in the east, continuing those the Kharkiv, Sumy directions. He will try to do this. Why? In order to exert maximum pressure on Ukraine. When will this happen? Believe me, he will try to do all this in the coming months,” Zelensky said.

According to the Ukrainian president, Putin wants his troops to “advance into our territory as much as possible.”

As Ukrinform reported earlier, following Donald Trump’s call with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin, the White House said the Russian side had agreed to a limited ceasefire, ensuring that no strikes are launched at energy and infrastructure facilities in Ukraine.
