Government forces clearing Ilovaisk of snipers

KYIV, August 19 /Ukrinform/. Ukrainian troops are continuing to clear the town of Ilovaisk of terrorists, and the fighting does not stop.
An adviser to the Ukrainian interior minister, Zorian Shkiriak, said this at a briefing on Tuesday, a Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Ukrainian military are actively clearing Ilovaisk of militants. They are working out the administrative part of the town with high-rise buildings, where sniper teams may stay," Shkiriak said.
He said that militants had tried to send reinforcements to Ilovaisk: "Our military have not allowed terrorists to get reinforcements and killed a great number of Oplot militants."
