Kuleba asks Indian foreign minister to make Russia stop its aggression
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has asked Indian Foreign Minister Subrahmanyam Jaishankar to use all his influence in relations with Russia to make it stop its military aggression against Ukraine.
Kuleba wrote about this on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.
"Call with my Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar. Asked India to use all influence in its relations with Russia to force it to cease military aggression against Ukraine. Urged India as a non-permanent UNSC member to support today's draft resolution on restoring peace in Ukraine," the minister said.
The head of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, announced the beginning of an invasion of Ukraine on February 24. At about 04:00, Russia launched a war against Ukraine.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that martial law was being imposed throughout Ukraine. Early on February 24, the Verkhovna Rada approved Zelensky's decree on the imposition of martial law.
