Ukrainian doctors unable to save 16 children suffered from Russian aggression

As a result of Russian aggression, 16 children died in Ukraine. Doctors were unable to save them due to severe injuries.

"For the fourth day already, most people do not leave hospitals, operating rooms, operating on the wounded around the clock, we save lives. We also operate on children. Unfortunately, we were unable to save 16 children. These are the results of what the Russian army, which cannot be called an army, has been doing. Because doctors, children, schools, kindergartens are shot only by terrorists, not the army. I once again declare that this is not an army, these are terrorists," Minister of Health of Ukraine Viktor Liashko said during livestream.

The minister addressed healthcare workers and employees of health care institutions.

"Great respect for your work, for your courage, for your spirit," Liashko said.

As reported, the Ministry of Health of Ukraine urges doctors from other countries to join in providing medical care to citizens and soldiers wounded during the Russian aggression.

Russian president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine on February 24 and launched a large-scale invasion. For the fourth day already, Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure. Missiles hit residential buildings.

Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.

According to the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Russia lost 4,300 servicemen over the three days of the war.

Ukraine officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation at the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague.
