Slovenia sending several planes with weapons to Ukraine

Slovenia is sending several planes with weapons, ammunition and helmets to Ukraine, Slovenian Defense Minister Matej Toni has announced.  

According to Ukrinform, the relevant report was issued by the Slovenian news agency STA.

"As Defense Minister Matej Tonin said on Monday, Slovenia is sending rifles, ammunition and helmets to Ukraine. He did not say how many, saying only that the aid was sent by ‘several planes,” the report says.

Earlier, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg stated that NATO Allies continue to increase assistance to Ukraine, including the provision of necessary air-defense missiles and anti-tank weapons, as well as financial and humanitarian support.

As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion.
