Ukraine ready to talk security guarantees but it depends on our partners - Zelensky
Ukraine is ready to discuss guarantees of its own security, but it depends on the nation’s partners.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said this in an interview with CNN and Reuters, Ukrinform reports.
"We are ready to talk about security guarantees for Ukraine. It depends on our partners," Zelensky said.
According to the Ukrainian leader, if the partners are not ready to take Ukraine into NATO because Russia doesn’t want Ukraine to be in the Alliance then there should be “security guarantees developed jointly for Ukraine.”
According to the president, this means that Ukraine will preserve its territorial integrity, that borders will be protected, that it will maintain special relations with its neighbors, the country is completely secured, and this guarantee is legally bound.
