Kherson residents come out with blue and yellow flags to Freedom Square where Russian tanks stand
In Kherson, southern Ukraine, city residents, holding blue and yellow flags, marched to the Freedom Square, standing in front of the armed Russian military.
The relevant video was posted on Facebook.
Citizens with Ukrainian state flags marched to protest against Russian aggression to the Freedom Square, where armed Russian soldiers and tanks are standing.
Also, according to Kherson residents, the National Anthem of Ukraine was performed loudly in Shumensky district in the morning.
"Don't believe those who say that Kherson surrendered," Kherson residents write on social networks.
Kherson, where street fighting took place on Tuesday and where the enemy is shelling residential areas, suffers a humanitarian catastrophe. There are fires that rescuers cannot put out because of the shelling. Cases of looting are reported. The dead bodies cannot be gathered due to ongoing battle.
On February 24, Russian president Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, conducting massive attacks on residential districts of Ukrainian cities and villages using artillery, multiple rocket launchers, and ballistic missiles.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
Ukraine officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation at the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague. International Criminal Court Prosecutor Karim Khan initiated the start of investigation into the situation in Ukraine.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of all Ukrainian people, courageously resist the Russian aggression.
