The Armed Forces of Ukraine start to overtake the initiative of Russian invaders in some areas.

“As of 12:00, March 2, the Armed Forces of Ukraine start to overtake the initiative of the Russian invaders in some areas. The enemy is trying to maintain the combat effectiveness of its units, realizing that the ‘easy walk’ failed. The enemy tries to avoid direct clashes not only with the Ukrainian army, but also with civilians who block the movement of its columns. Russian propaganda ceases to operate in the territory of Ukraine, and the 'liberators' realize that no one was waiting for them here," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

In particular, the enemy lost the initiative in Volyn direction and is not taking active action.

In Polissia direction, the Russian occupiers continue to advance towards Makariv – Brusyliv – Fastiv; part of the forces – towards Kyiv.

In the areas of Malyn and Irpin, the invaders lost their offensive pace, suffered significant losses and were stopped at unfavorable lines.

In Chornobyl direction, the enemy tried to develop an offensive towards Demydiv and Irpin, but also lost the offensive potential and stopped.

In Zhytomyr region, the enemy is trying to deploy advanced units near Horenychy, Shpytky, Petrushky. At the same time, it is deploying field and logistics camps near Borodianka, Katiuzhanka, and Havronshchyna.

In Siversky direction, the 1st Tank Army and the 20th All-Military Army of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, which led offensive operations in the direction of Krasnohrad and Izium, Kharkiv region, to encircle the Ukraine’s Joint Forces, suffered losses and was stopped along the line of Bohodukhiv, Chuhuiv, Shevchenkove.

The enemy is stopped in Chernihiv direction.

In Nizhyn direction, the enemy moved towards Nova Basan, Kozelets.

In Donetsk direction, the enemy focused its efforts with the 1st, 2nd Army Corps, and 8th Army on reaching the administrative borders of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. The enemy didn't reach the goal, failed to block Mariupol.

In the south, the enemy tried to continue the offensive towards Zaporizhzhia, part of the forces – towards Mariupol.

In the Black Sea Operational Zone, the Russian occupiers continue preparations for a naval landing operation on the Black Sea coast of Ukraine (Zatoka, Odesa areas). The deployment of naval fleet groups on sea was observed.

The enemy is demoralized and continues to suffer losses in manpower and equipment. Since the beginning of the Russian invasion, the estimated losses of the invader stand at 5,840 people.
