Ukraine’s Armed Forces regain control of Makariv near Kyiv
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have liberated Makariv, a town in Kyiv region, and regained control of the area.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, broke the news on Facebook.
"Prince Roman the Great 14th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade and 95th Separate Assault Force Brigade have liberated Makariv, Kyiv region, and regained control there," the report says.
As reported earlier, the Armed Forces of Ukraine in some areas are starting to intercept the initiative of the Russian invaders.
The head of the aggressor power, Vladimir Putin, launched a “special military operation” in Donbas. On February 24, Russia went for a full-blown offensive against Ukraine, launching a massive invasion.
Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure, massively shelling residential areas of Ukrainian cities and villages, employing artillery, multiple rocket launchers, and ballistic missiles.
