Kuleba, Blinken discuss new sanctions against Russia
Minister for Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken have discussed new sanctions against Russia and new supplies of defense weapons to Ukraine.
The Ukrainian MFA press service wrote on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
In particular, in a phone conversation with the U.S. Secretary of State, Kuleba expressed gratitude to the United States for the military assistance already provided to Ukraine. The interlocutors agreed on new supplies of defense weapons for Ukraine.
The Ukrainian minister stressed the importance of strengthening the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In addition, Dmytro Kuleba and Antony Blinken agreed that the sanction pressure should be further increased until Russia ends the war and liberates Ukrainian territory.
The interlocutors paid special attention to Russia's attempts to escape sanctions with the help of third countries and agreed to work together to eliminate such possible scenarios.
As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure. Missiles hit residential buildings.
