Danilov sees as “dangerous” talks with Russians in Belarus

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov, considers the upcoming negotiations between the Ukrainian and Russian delegations to be held in Belarus dangerous for the Ukrainian state.

The top security official expressed the opinion on the Rada TV channel, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"There are some negotiation processes ongoing now. I should say that they are very dangerous for our country. If someone thinks that it’s possible to negotiate and capitulate our country, they are deeply mistaken. This is a very dangerous process. I really don’t like that this is happening in Belovezhskaya Pushcha. I don't know what kind of professional was the one who got the idea that they should take place there. It is very dangerous for our country," Danilov said.

At the same time, the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council assured that neither President Volodymyr Zelensky, nor other representatives of the country's military and political leadership, nor the Ukrainian people will ever betray their nation.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the Ukrainian delegation is heading off to Belarus for negotiations with Russia. No other details are available at the moment.
