Zelensky sets up coordination headquarters for humanitarian, social issues

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has signed a decree on the establishment of the coordination headquarters for humanitarian and social issues, which will help citizens overcome difficult life circumstances in connection with Russia's armed aggression against Ukraine.

That's according to the website of the head of state, Ukrinform reports.

According to the report, due to Russia's military invasion in some Ukrainian cities and villages there is an extremely difficult humanitarian situation. Many people have lost their homes or been left without access to water, food, medicine and basic necessities.

To effectively provide assistance to the affected citizens, the head of state has set up the coordination headquarters for humanitarian and social issues, which will quickly coordinate volunteer initiatives, international humanitarian organizations and funding from a special account created by the National Bank of Ukraine for humanitarian donations, the President's Office said.
