Russia intentionally targeting civilians in Ukraine - Biden

U.S. President Joe Biden believes that the destruction of civilian objects in Ukraine by missiles, bombs and shells is not accidental, and Russian forces are intentionally attacking civilian districts.

He said this on Wednesday, before traveling from Washington to Wisconsin, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"It's clear they are," he said when asked if he believed Russia was deliberately attacking civilian targets in Ukraine.

Meanwhile, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken also answered a similar question during a press briefing on Wednesday. According to him, in the past Russia has repeatedly demonstrated that one of the methods of its war is absolute brutality.

This includes at least indiscriminate shelling, as well as potentially deliberate shelling of civilian targets, he said.

In this regard, Blinken stressed that the United States is closely monitoring the situation and documenting all violations in order to bring Russia to justice.
