Russia's losses in Ukraine reached 6,000 - Danilov
The number of Russian invaders killed by the Ukrainian military currently stands at about 6,000.
Secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov said this on the Ukraine 24 TV channel, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"Today, Russia has no contact with about 8,000 of its servicemen. This does not mean that they all died. According to our estimates, about 6,000 people died, others are still wandering somewhere," Danilov said.
He also said that the Russian military hoped to be "greeted with flowers" in Ukraine.
"For some reason, they decided that there are flowers here in February. In fact, there are flowers, but they are called "Pions" [self-propelled heavy artillery], and our artillery covers with 'peonies' these people who have come to our territory with aggressive intentions," Danilov said.
