Number of people killed in Russia’s airstrike on Izium city grows to eight
Eight people, including at least two children, were killed in an enemy airstrike on Izium city.
Deputy Chairman of the Izium City Council Volodymyr Matsokin wrote on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"The center of the city has been damaged hugely. There are eight dead bodies on Ukrainska Street. They hit the police office. A fire broke up,” he wrote.
Earlier, he reported that the shell hit a private house, killing four adults and two children.
As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure. Missiles hit residential buildings.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
Ukraine officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation with the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague.
