Ukraine asking intl organizations to influence NATO to close skies over nuclear facilities
Ukraine is asking international organizations to immediately ask NATO to close access to the airspace over nuclear facilities.
According to Ukrinform, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this in his address, the text of which was published on the government portal.
"Ukraine also appeals to international organizations, in particular the IAEA, to immediately ask NATO to close access to the airspace over our nuclear facilities. Close the skies over Ukraine! Now it is a matter of world security! Not just Ukraine!" Shmyhal said.
He added that Ukraine also appeals to the UN and the Red Cross.
"After the attacks on the civilian population, the whole world saw that the Russian military is a terrorist who kills civilians and does not provide assistance to the victims. In some cities, children, the elderly and pregnant women are trapped by the enemy and have survived for days without light, heat, water, food and medical care. The invader does not provide green corridors for evacuation. needs! Ukraine demands, for the sake of people's lives and health, to provide "green corridors" so that we can provide assistance and evacuate all those who want and need it," Shmyhal said.
Earlier, Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba called on partners to close the airspace over Ukraine, otherwise the blood of Ukrainians killed by Russia will be on their hands.
