Ukraine’s specops forces destroy another 10 enemy IFVs in Hostomel

Special forces of the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate have destroyed 10 more enemy BMDs (airborne infantry fighting vehicles) in Hostomel, a town near Kyiv that is home to the Antonov airfield.

This was reported by Ukrinform with reference to the press service of the Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR).

“Special forces of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine have destroyed 10 more enemy BMDs in Hostomel,” the report reads.

The battle for control over the city of Hostomel is underway. As of 6:30 pm, 10 enemy combat vehicles have already been destroyed in the area of ​​a local glass factory,” the statement reads.

The battle is being waged by a consolidated group of special forces units, led by the GUR and local resistance groups they had trained.

In total, throughout the day, special forces hit 20 enemy combat vehicles in the same town.

As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the launch of an invasion of Ukraine. Martial law was imposed. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization.
