1 killed, over 70 injured by Russian invaders in Donetsk region today
Today, March 3 (as of 20.00), Russian invaders killed a woman and injured more than 70 civilians in Donetsk region.
"Russia is killing civilians! Today, a woman died at the hands of the occupiers in Mayorsk. More than 70 people have been injured in the region in one day," Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko posted on Facebook.
Since the beginning of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine (as of March 3, 20:00), terrorists have killed 44 and wounded 257 civilians.
According to Kyrylenko, Mariupol is still under attack as the invaders fired on at least two neighborhoods, hit a hypermarket on the western outskirts, and shelled a hospital. The town is cut off from electricity, water, and heat supply. Food delivery routes are blocked.
"Russia wants to organize the same blockade of the city as the Nazis created in Leningrad. This is the expository punishment of the town, which refused to surrender to the Russian world. We are working to open one of the food supply routes," said the head of the Administration.
He added that more than 200 civilians had been injured in Mariupol since the beginning of Russia’s invasion, and the exact number of casualties was still to be determined. This is difficult to do now, as there is no mobile connection in the town and the surrounding communities
The shelling of Novoselivka Persha and Zhelanne villages began.
In the evening, the invaders launched Grad missiles on Toretsk, injuring two people. One of them was taken to the ophthalmology surgery center in Druzhkivka. Two gas distribution stations were disconnected, the power line was damaged. The electricity supply has been partially restored, repairs to the gas pipeline will begin tomorrow as there are risks of another shelling.
"We will withstand and restore everything. For the money of the occupiers!” Kyrylenko emphasized.
As reported, on February 24, Russian president Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion.
Russian troops are killing civilians, shelling and destroying key infrastructure facilities, and missiles hit Ukrainians' homes.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of the entire nation, courageously resist Russian aggression.
