About 90 units of enemy equipment and Kadyrov forces groups, who had thermal imagers and weapons for effective combat at night, are amassed near Enerhodar.
"Near Enerhodar, there are about 90 units of equipment, Kadyrov forces groups who had thermal imagers and weapons for effective combat at night. The National Guard of Ukraine suffered casualties. The exact number is being clarified," the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine posted on Facebook.
Since 18:00 on February 3, the enemy have been actively trying to get to the Zaporizhzhia NPP facilities.
In particular, after midnight, the enemy began active shelling of Ukrainian positions, guarded and defended by the National Guard of Ukraine.
"The enemy opened fire from tanks, small arms, as well as sniping weapons. As a result, the premises caught on fire. A fire broke out in the administrative building and the training center at Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant,” the statement reads.
Despite this, the enemy continued to fire on the station.
"The State Emergency Service were allowed to start putting out the fire only in the morning. The fire was isolated partially," the Ministry informed.
The NPP representatives claim that there is a real threat of nuclear danger at Europe's largest nuclear power plant, so one unit was shut down.
