The Ukrainian forces have repulsed the Russian invaders from Mykolaiv, but fighting continues on the outskirts of the city.

Head of the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration Vitali Kim announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"We have driven them from the city. The fighting continues on the outskirts," Kim wrote.

He added that the Russian troops had counterattacked again.

Today in Mykolaiv, the fighting has been ongoing all day long. The enemy is attacking the city from various directions.

As reported, the Ukrainian soldiers recaptured Kulbakino airport in Mykolaiv and raised the state flag there.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion.
