Russia to bombard Ukraine with fake news - military intel
The enemy will soon launch a massive campaign to spread war-related fake news across Ukraine.
That’s according to the State Special Communications Service referring to the GUR military intelligence.
"The Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has warned that a comprehensive, large-scale injection of fake news by enemy forces is expected in the near future, which will be carried out with the involvement of the full range of modern media capacities," the statement said.
In this regard, the agency has encouraged Ukrainians to consume information only from official and verified sources.
As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops are shelling and destroying infrastructure, massively shelling residential areas across Ukrainian cities and towns, using artillery, MLR systems, and ballistic missiles.
Martial law was imposed in the country and general mobilization was announced.
The press service of the Joint Forces operation said a package of military planning documents seized from a destroyed unit of Russian marines said Russian troops had intended to complete the operation on seizing Ukraine from February 20 to March 6.
