Russian MLR systems firing on Mykolaiv - Mayor

Russian troops have opened fire on Mykolaiv, employing multiple rocket launchers.

Mayor of Mykolaiv, Oleksandr Senkevych, warned residents via Telegram, Ukrinform reported.

“Russian MLR systems are firing on Mykolaiv. Don't leave shelters!” Senkevych urged.

Locals report that the shells have hit residential buildings.

As reported earlier, Mykolaiv defenders had shot down four enemy helicopters over the city.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops gave been shelling and destroying key infrastructure, while missiles have been hitting residential neighborhoods.
