Social Policy Ministry: 3,500 tonnes of humanitarian aid delivered to Ukraine on Mar 4
On March 4, 3,500 tonnes of humanitarian aid was delivered to Ukraine, in particular, medicines, food and other important goods essential for vital needs of people.
Minister of Social Policy Maryna Lazebna announced this, Ukrinform reports with reference to the ministry’s press service.
"We have simplified all possible procedures for suppliers and recipients of humanitarian aid to arrive on time. Customs and logistics warehouses are working full time. Regional military and civil administrations and coordination headquarters have developed algorithms for working with humanitarian aid from spreading information about needs abroad, crossing the border, processing in logistics warehouses to cooperation with organizations and logistics of Ukraine,” she said.
According to Lazebna, due to the coordinated work, the amount of aid is growing every day. For example, 2,500 tonnes of humanitarian aid arrived on March 3, whereas on March 4, Ukraine received 3,500 tonnes.
As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion.
