Some 141 settlements left without electricity in Chernihiv Region
A total of 141 settlements have been left without electricity due to Russia’s hostilities in Chernihiv Region.
The relevant statement was made by Chernihiv Regional Military Administration on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“According to the data from Chernihivoblenergo JSC, due to hostilities, a total of 141 settlements have been left without electricity. Repair works are carried out whenever possible,” the report states.
Over the past day, three fires have been extinguished in Chernihiv Region. Two of them broke out due to shelling, and one – for other reasons related to military actions. Two persons were rescued, one person died.
In general, since the Russian invasion started, a total of 127 fires were recorded; 97 of them broke out due to shelling, and one – for other reasons related to military actions.
A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are killing civilians, shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile strikes on residential houses.
