Another attempt to evacuate people from Mariupol fails over enemy shelling
The second attempt to evacuate people from Mariupol failed today as the Russian troops started to regroup their forces and began shelling the city heavily.
According to Ukrinform, Head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration Pavlo Kyrylenko wrote this on Facebook.
He stressed that it is extremely dangerous to take people out under such conditions.
At the same time, the convoy with humanitarian cargo, which left Zaporizhzhia for Mariupol, is currently on its way.
As reported, on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion. Russian troops have been shelling and destroying key infrastructure. Missiles hit residential buildings.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
Ukraine officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation with the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague.
