Kuleba discussed possible supply of fighter jets to Ukraine with Blinken, Rau
At a meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba discussed possible supply of fighter jets to Ukraine.
Kuleba said this at an online briefing on Sunday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"I discussed this issue [on providing Ukraine with fighter jets] with Blinken and the foreign minister of Poland. It is a difficult process from the point of view of many of its components, but there is some progress, and we are pushing it as much as possible,” Kuleba said.
He noted that for obvious reasons he could not disclose which types of military equipment Ukraine needs to protect the airspace.
“But there is a clear understanding among our partners that we need fighter jets to stop the barbaric destruction of our cities and people from the sky," he said.
As Ukrinform reported, on March 5, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba held talks with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken on Ukraine–Poland border.
