Not conquered by Russian invaders: Thousands take part in rally in Melitopol
Thousands of local residents in the city of Melitopol have taken part in a peaceful rally to show once again that they were not conquered by Russian invaders.
The relevant statement was made by Melitopol City Council on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
Similar rallies have been organized by local activists since March 1, 2022. Every day they gather at 12:00 (noon), line up in a column and march through the city.
People do not have weapons. They are holding Ukrainian flags, chanting “One, united Ukraine”, “Melitopol is Ukraine”, “Ukraine will win” and telling the Russian invaders they are not welcome here.
On the central square, people are singing the Ukrainian national anthem.
