Over 30 enemy helicopters destroyed in Kherson region overnight
Ukrainian troops destroyed more than three dozen enemy helicopters in Kherson region last night.
The Marine Command reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
"At night, Ukrainian soldiers shelled the Chornobaivka airfield near Kherson. The occupiers decided to partially deploy their fleet there. Thirty enemy helicopters were destroyed, as well as manpower and equipment," the statement said.
Over the past day, on approaches to Mykolaiv, three enemy convoys were destroyed, the Ukrainian defenders seized trophies, a large number of ammunition, wheeled equipment, and seven D-20 howitzers.
On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops are shelling and destroying key infrastructure, massively shelling residential areas of Ukrainian cities and towns using artillery, multiple launch rocket systems and ballistic missiles.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced.
Ukraine has officially filed a lawsuit against the Russian Federation in the UN International Court of Justice in The Hague.
