Russian troops take control of TV and radio towers in Melitopol

Russian troops have taken control of TV and radio towers in the city of Melitopol, Zaporizhzhia Region.

The relevant statement was made by Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The city TV tower, same as radio towers, are controlled by the occupiers, those who are controlling the perimeter of the city today, armed Russian troops,” Fedorov told.

In his words, neither city authorities nor other government authorities can monitor the content.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. The Russian military are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile strikes on residential districts in Ukrainian cities and villages.
