More than 60 houses have been damaged in a missile artillery attack on the city of Mykolayiv this morning.
“More than 60 houses have been damaged in a missile artillery attack on the city of Mykolayiv this morning. We took people out by buses and resettled those in need in kindergartens, providing them with everything they needed,” Mykolayiv Mayor Oleksandr Senkevych said on a livestream on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
He also stressed that most bombs were cluster munitions that are banned throughout the world. "The task of such a projectile is to explode in the air and kill as much manpower as possible. As you can see, these shells were used not to protect us from something, but simply to kill us," Senkevych said.
Currently, the districts of Ternivka, Balabanivka and part of Ingulsky district are cut off from electricity.
As reported, five fires broke out in the residential sector and at industrial facilities as a result of the shelling of Mykolayiv with the Tornado multiple launche rocket systems,. The extent of the destruction is being established.
