Fire at oil depot in Zhytomyr put out, two half-empty tanks burning in Chernyakhiv
The fire at the oil depot in Zhytomyr, caused by a Russian air strike, was put out at 21:30. Two half-empty tanks are burning at the Chernyakhiv oil depot.
"As of 21:30, a fire has been put out in Zhytomyr. Two tanks with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters are being extinguished. No casualties have been reported. 30 persons and 7 units of SES equipment have been involved," the press center of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine posted on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
In addition, it is reported that two half-empty tanks with a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters are burning in the village of Chernyakhiv. There are a total of 17 tanks on the territory of the oil depot. The distance to residential buildings is about 500-600 meters. No casualties have been reported. 24 people and 5 units of SES equipment have been involved.
As Ukrinform reported, the fires at two oil depots in Zhytomyr region started at about 20:20 as a result of two air strikes.
