PM Shmyhal: 20,000 tonnes of aid arrive in Ukraine from abroad over six days

Over past six days, 20,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid arrived in Ukraine from abroad: food, clothing, medicines, and medical supplies. The Cabinet of Ministers is already sending this aid to the regions.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said this in his video address, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The Head of Government noted that a coordination center was established a week ago to receive and distribute humanitarian aid in Ukraine.

"We have simplified and continue to simplify the rules for importing such goods, removing most bureaucratic procedures on a daily basis… Over the past six days, almost 3,000 trucks have crossed the Ukrainian border, delivering 20,000 tonnes of humanitarian aid which the Government is already sending to the regions," Shmyhal noted.

In addition, he said that more than UAH 10 billion had already been transferred to an account specially created by the National Bank of Ukraine to support the Ukrainian army.

Shmyhal expressed gratitude to all those who help Ukraine during the war.

The war against Russian invaders has been going on in Ukraine since February 24.
