Zelensky calls on British Parliament to recognize Russia as terrorist state
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has called on the British Parliament to recognize the Russian Federation as a terrorist country, to further strengthen sanctions against it and to close the skies over Ukraine.
The Ukrainian president said this in his video address to the British Parliament, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.
"Increase sanctions against the terrorist state, recognize it finally as terrorist state. Find a way to make our Ukrainian sky safe. Do what you can, what you should do, what the greatness of your state and your people oblige you to do. Glory to the great Ukraine, glory to the Great Britain,” he said.
In addition, Zelensky personally thanked British Prime Minister Boris Johnson for comprehensive support for Ukraine in the war against the Russian aggressor.
As reported February 24, Russia declared war on Ukraine and launched a large-scale invasion.
