Five people killed in airstrike on Zhytomyr region

Five people were killed in an airstrike on the town of Malyn, Zhytomyr region.

"At 20:50, March 8, seven private one-storey residential buildings were destroyed, five people, including two children (born in 2021), were killed as a result of airstrike on Vokzalna Street in Malyn, Zhytomyr region,” the State Emergency Service of Ukraine posted on Telegram.

Search and rescue operations are underway. Eleven SES workers and two units of equipment have been involved.

Six villages of the Narodytsia community in Zhytomyr region are still cut off from electricity after the Russian airstrike.
