Commander of Kyiv’s Defense: We’re ready to arrange inhospitable reception of Russian army

Kyiv is ready to arrange inhospitable reception of the Russian army, says Colonel-General Oleksandr Syrskyi, Commander of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and Commander of Kyiv's Defense.

Syrskyi checked the arrangement of transport infrastructure equipment, as well as the service at checkpoints in the north-western direction of the capital's suburbs, the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine posted on Facebook.

"Based on the results of inspections, I can say that the morale of our heroes, who are holding the fort on the outskirts of Kyiv, is extremely high. All our defenders carry out their duties perfectly well and inflict maximum losses on the enemy. All problematic issues that arise during the engineering equipment of defensive positions are promptly resolved by the Kyiv Military-Civil Administration and the Kyiv City Hall. We are ready to arrange an inhospitable reception of the Russian army," the Colonel-General stressed.

On February 24, Russian president Putin launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops kill civilians, shell and destroy key infrastructure, and missiles hit Ukrainians' homes.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on general mobilization.
