Chornobyl NPP left without electricity due to actions of Russian invaders
The Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant was left without electricity due to the actions of Russian invaders.
"As a result of hostile actions of the Russian occupiers, the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant was completely left without electricity," National Power Company Ukrenergo posted on Telegram.
The fighting continues, so it is currently impossible to carry out repair works and restore electricity supply.
Ukrenergo closely follows the situation and will inform on updates.
As reported, the Russian military violated radiation safety requirements at the occupied Chornobyl NPP and in the exclusion zone. There is uncontrolled movement of personnel and military equipment at the plant, in the exclusion zone, and beyond.
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has lost track of the remote data transmission from the security control systems of the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant.
