Kherson residents do not stop protests against Russian invaders
Peaceful actions against Russian invaders continue in Kherson, First Deputy Chairman of the Kherson Regional Council Yuriy Sobolevsky posted on Facebook.
He published a photo from the mass rally and wrote that he loves Kherson.
As reported, the enemy is trying to establish a police regime in Kherson city and nearby localities. In particular, in Kherson, Russia’s Guard units arrested more than 400 Ukrainian citizens.
On March 3, the head of the regional state administration announced that the building of the Kherson Regional State Administration had been occupied by the enemy. At the same time, Kherson Mayor informed that the Kherson City Hall had its headquarters, the Ukrainian flag was flying over the city, and all council members and officials had been warned about the responsibility for treason.
Russian military started mining Kherson, installing trip wires in the city center. In Kherson, citizens put the National Anthem of Ukraine on in various parts of the city and hang posters calling on the occupier to go away. Peaceful actions against the aggressor are held in the city and in other populated localities of the region.
President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded Kherson the Hero City title.
On February 24, Russian president Putin announced the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine. Russian troops invaded simultaneously from the north, east, and Crimea. They destroy cities, kill civilians, fire on and ruin key infrastructure facilities, and hit residential houses with missiles.
Martial law was imposed in Ukraine and general mobilization was announced. The Armed Forces of Ukraine, with the support of the entire nation, courageously resist the aggression.
