Russian troops abduct mayor of Dniprorudne, Zaporizhzhia region
Russian invaders abducted Dniprorudne Mayor Yevhen Matveyev in Vasylivka district, Zaporizhzhia region.
"At 08:30 today, March 13, the military of the Russian Federation abducted the mayor of Dniprorudne in Vasylivka district of Zaporizhzhia region," Ivan Arefyev, spokesman for the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, posted on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.
The Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration also informs that enemy soldiers intimidate the local population by conducting informational and psychological actions to undermine public confidence in representatives of public authorities and local communities, spread fakes, and constantly take the local population hostage.
In addition, the Russian occupiers forcibly confiscate food, clothing, and personal hygiene items at checkpoints. Yesterday, Russians destroyed the bridge over the Yanchokrak River.
Yesterday, March 12, well-known local activist Olha Haisumova was abducted during a rally in Melitopol. Earlier, Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov and local resident Serhiy Kirichuk were kidnapped.
