Ministry of Defense: Russia's ultimate goal to grab all Ukraine, not just certain regions
Russia is not interested in capturing individual regions, but rather gaining full control over Ukraine.
This was stated by Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Hanna Maliar, during a telethon, Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"Since the beginning of the hot phase on February 24, we have been saying that the ultimate goal Russia pursues is complete control of Ukraine, so it would be inaccurate to say that it may be some particular region. They chose a path toward complete control. We must be aware of this and adequately assess the threat. We must stand to the last, not as regards a specific region, but to understand that every point on our map is really a path toward controlling the whole of Ukraine," said Maliar.
According to the official, now we can unequivocally say that the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the entire nation are stronger than ever. Nobody is going to let the enemy in our territory and no one is going to surrender.
"It is difficult to predict how long this might take. We must be patient, we must be strong, and our people must ensure a powerful rear to our forces. Now we have to act together and we will definitely win," the deputy head of the Ministry of Defense added.
