Zelensky presents state awards to 247 service members
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has presented state awards to almost 247 Ukrainian service members, 26 of them posthumously.
The decree to that effect, No. 131/2022, has been published on the website of the head of state, Ukrinform reports.
According to the report, the awards were given "for personal courage and selfless actions shown in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath."
The president awarded the defenders with the orders of Bohdan Khmelnytsky, "For Courage", Danylo Halytsky orders and medals "For Military Service to Ukraine", "For Impeccable Service", "Defender of the Fatherland."
